The new baskets are here!
Whitworth’s campus is known for its beautiful flower basket-lined sidewalks around its central quad, known as the “Hello Walk”. Hanging flower baskets have represented the northwest to us for as long as we have been together, since our very first pre-engagement trip to Chico Hot Springs near Yellowstone. Little towns throughout Montana, Idaho, and Washington are lined with happy hanging baskets. So we made it a priority at this Green Bluff house with its perfect wraparound porch to install automated watering/fertilizing and line it with our own colorful baskets.
For the past few years I have been working with the head of our university’s groundskeeping crew on our strategic planning group (and he was also in my recent MBA class.) And he arranged it so I could purchase our baskets as part of Whitworth’s order, which worked out perfectly. So I ran the truck over to campus for a quick pickup, and Steve opened up the irrigation, and just like that - our porch is full of color!
