The Grand Tetons

Last time we were here was in the fall during wildfire season, and we could barely see the peaks, the sky was so smoky. But the mountains are in “peak” shape today! This is the range that we have a Thomas Mangelsen photograph of hanging over our bed at home.

The views as you approach from the southeast are so exciting, the purple Tetons stand formidable and beautiful against the blue sky and fluffy clouds as the highway winds closer and closer.

Once in the national park, one of the first spots to photograph the mountains from is a huge green meadow. And to reinforce how mesmerizing those hills can be - there was a beautiful herd of bison ranging just across the street, and they didn’t get a single photo from me!

A few more meadow pics from a little farther into the park. Oh my!

And then we circled over to the lakes. After 5pm is the absolutely perfect time to enjoy this view! Apologies in advance for the repetitive photos - I promise you it is impossible to choose between these shots!

Decided to pull over and have Dinner with a Serious View tonight.
