Montana update

In addition to hanging clothes on her new clothesline, Montana has been a busy bird. Here are a few things I’ve captured pictures of:

She and Elijah have quite the productive pepper garden going. Those plants seem to thrive in our desert conditions. She pickles the banana peppers, and we all love them on everything.

Montana is also the pressed flower queen. At some point I have to do a post on all of her framed pressed flower creations that line her stairway wall. But she is also experimenting with 3-D dried flower shadow boxes. Here she is trying a vertical hanging method of drying some zinnias in our kitchen window.

Now this is the absolute coolest thing Montana has come up with. She has been envisioning a slatted wall solution (like is used in retail stores) for their coat and boot area next to the wood-burning stove. She finally found a beautiful and affordable system that they just installed. You can use any kind of hooks, baskets, shelves, etc. anywhere you want. Steve and I loved it so much and were so impressed with the quality and ease of installation that we immediately ordered some materials to redo a wall of our master closet. And Montana and Elijah are adding more along the top of this initial set up, too. Briliant!

The next time their house is clean I really have to take a full set of photos of their living spaces - everything is totally unique to them, very neat.
