Fresh pasta

Steve used his hand-milled flour to make some fresh pasta. For pasta he ground Durham wheat flour. The taste was primo, and the process was actually pretty easy. Make the dough out of eggs and the fresh ground flour, roll into rectangles, run them through the roller to thin them out, cut, hang to keep separate as you go, and then boil away.

We are really liking this move to making fresh bread, tortillas, and pasta as we need them vs having to buy them at the grocery store. Way tastier, plus kind of fun and honestly more convenient for the irregular shoppers that we are! Plus we’ll eat like self-sufficient kings when the zombie apocalypse hits.
