Welcome to August

Just a few quick pics of how it looks from the front porch when there are fires in the vicinity. Steve is out working a DIFFERENT Spokane County fire on the west side of town that is WAY bigger. I just got an alert that the Whitworth campus was just evacuated due to the fire Steve is working. Crazy times!

Up and over the house

The Fairview fire on the right is the one we can see from our house. The Old Trails Fire is the one Steve is working - they have many different evacuation zones, and I’m not sure exactly which one Steve is on right now. The wind is supposed to stay fierce until 8pm, so it will be a long one for Steve. FYI Whitworth is in the evacuation zone just below the label “Fairwood” in the pinky-peach.
