Saturday morning ahhhhh

Despite the fact that today has been called out with the strongest wildfire alert the county has ever issued - the “Particularly” adjective was used - it was a gorgeous weekend morning.

Yesterday, Steve was organizing some things for his new SCOPE location in Airway Heights when an officer-involved shooting occurred only 100 yards away. So needless to say, he was in the “right” place at the right time to set up an incident scene in record time! It also meant he didn’t roll back home until after midnight. We can’t plan too much today, because there’s a very good chance Steve will be called out for a fire.

So morning coffee was a must. Josie circled the wraparound porch for about an hour before she finally settled down. The humans (and goats), however, had no problem being highly leisurely.

The Merlin app does such a good job listening and identifying bird song.
