Traveling the Palouse
Steve wanted to spend Father’s Day roadtripping south of Spokane, an area known as the Palouse prairie. Absolutely gorgeous rolling hills (I’m sure glaciers had something to do with that) planted primarily in wheat (the #1 wheat-producing county in the country) as well as canola. Our canola timing was perfect- you just cannot believe the bright solid yellow of canola fields in bloom.
We pulled over so I could photograph this abandoned farm.
Then we drove around and up to the top of the Steptoe Butte. What a view!
