Topping off the tank

Irrigation season is here! Steve recently replaced the water level reader in our cistern and decided this is a good time to start our regular water runs. It is very handy in that the water works just down the road from us (actually next door to our vet!)

We are in good shape generally, no water emergencies happening. But we wanted the tank to be full to the brim as the various automated waterers kick off on their assigned days and times. Plus going and getting tanks of water is honestly so much fun - that water really comes out fast!

So we did two runs today, and we will monitor intake from here. For all-you-can-haul water for $30/month only during the months you use it, it’s a great deal for us. Plus it has eliminated all of the stress of prior years worrying about whether our lame well would run out of water.
