The redwoods do not disappoint

The redwoods are spread out all over Northern California’s coastal region, encompassing a national park and at least five state parks. Driving through the redwoods scenic roads, getting out and venturing down the trails to experience the trees up close, was just a dream come true. Their size, their age, the canopy - it was all really impressive to experience.

I also learned it is almost impossible to photograph massively giant trees!

The fall colors were perfect.

This next selfie was taken from the inside of a giant hollowed out redwood trunk. Not pictured: the acrobatics we did to get inside.

The trails were phenomenal. Endless groves of massive trees, up to 1,500 years old!

Steve brought the artistry with these cool shots of the bark of one of the fallen giants.

This is the happy and content face of a woman who got to spend the day with her redwoods! I need nothing else on this trip, I am fully satisfied!
