Sunset in the South unit

Although the cloud cover didn’t entirely cooperate, we were able to enjoy another beautiful sunset at one of the scenic overlooks as we were returning to our campsite in the South side of the park, after our afternoon in the North. We really enjoyed the subtle color changes in the sky and clouds.

Of course more bison in the road…

Now what we DIDN’T expect was a bison at our campsite when we returned! He was literally right at our next door neighbors’ camp, having apparently made a fresh “deposit” in ours just minutes before, happily chomping away at some grass before moving on down the road!

That made for some extra excitement as night fell and we were outside, wondering if he had any friends or family members trailing behind!
