Pumpkin donut run
Despite it being a really quite miserable day - rainy and cold and blah - we took advantage of the low Green Bluff traffic to stop by a local orchard (Sunset Orchard) for our favorite pumpkin donuts and a few quick photos. It’s a Green Bluff tradition. Then it was back to the house for warmth and football!
Yes, a bag of just-out-of-the-fryer cinnamon-covered pumpkin donuts hits the spot!
All of the orchards are so cute with zillions of pumpkins either stacked up and displayed like this or out in the fields for picking. The entire city of Spokane comes up here in October for their pumpkins and apples. I typically buy a few pumpkins for the porch, but somehow it got away from me this year, and now it’s a little too late.
We tried to stop at my neighbor’s beautiful maple-lined shared road for a quick autumn selfie, but the wind was blowing pretty hard, and we weren’t feeling particularly photogenic! The lavender fields are just behind us to the right, by the way.
