Pretty cute holiday table

I had to add a few miscellaneous pieces to my 4th of July tablescape - it was looking a little “Hobby Lobby Sad”.

The runner and placemats are actually from my time in Eindhoven, the Netherlands. I used to shop the local department store on Saturdays, the day when everyone hits the streets to market. Fun memories!

Montana and I went to an antique fair a few weeks ago, and I bought the baseballs from a vendor- they make a fun centerpiece. That glass dome item was SO expensive at the time - $325 from a fancy home furnishings store in a cute resort town north of Montana’s high school - but I get so much great use out of it season by season.

We also recently replaced our dining table chairs and rug, thank you to our wonderful indoor animals. The dogs cashed my prior rug with their random middle-of-the-night “contributions”. Once dogs find a spot, they really own it! I am still mad, because I really loved that rug. This one is a cheapy replacement, which I accept is all that makes sense with dog(s).

The chairs were replaced thanks to Chester, who found them to be a delightful scratching post (as shown in the last picture). Luckily they were already cheap chairs, as are their replacements, so no heartburn there. However, we will not discuss what Chester previously did to my very expensive upholstered Stickley reading chair.
