Happy 4th of July

Pretty leisurely day for a holiday. We were lucky to get the van unpacked and food for a grilled dinner purchased and prepared. I remember several things from the bicentennial when I was just 12, including being allowed to paint a fire hydrant (a questionable choice) and the bicentennial logo being painted on the bottom of the Antioch pool (pretty cool).

But this big one, 250, seems pretty uneventful overall. Which is okay with us, because we are a little tired from our long roadtrip yesterday!

Our half painted house.

In honor of the holiday, a pretty cool cloud formed this evening, probably from a faraway fire of unknown origin.
