Getting ready for all sorts of projects

We have decided to bite the bullet and take on another set of property projects! It is our joy and curse and just our Thing.

Tomorrow the SolaTube guy is coming to see about installing one in our landlocked laundry room. I do not like walking in from the garage into darkness, and I am tired of keeping that light on all day because of that.

Tomorrow the drapery installer is also coming to hand out new window treatments in the main room and loft. It’s been awhile sounding even remember the fabrics I picked out! Below is an early spring tablescape that provides a good view of the three bare downstairs windows.

We also have numerous outdoor projects percolating including:

Tearing down the ugly goat shed and replacing it with a combination studio+solarium+hot tub area. The goats will be moved to one of the back fields, and the existing fence line will also be moved slightly. The weathered lumber will be used to build a new pump house. I’m dying for a hot tub and we currently have no place for one. Montana wants her studio. And who wouldn’t want a solarium (greenhouse sitting room)?

Also we are finally repainting the house! Enough of this ugly brown and mustardy color combo. Here is what AI came up with (I manually added some simple mocked-up gingerbread strips):

Oh, and I am also adding an orchard in the front field on the other side of the driveway. Plans for that to be shared at a later date!
