Garden bulbs making an appearance

Because of our abundant feet population, the only bulbs we can grow must be in the safe confines of the 6-foot garden fence. At the end of last season I designated one of the in-ground beds for perennials and bulbs. I anticipate that this bed will become a major pain in my gardening back because it will require constant weeding, something I use landscape fabric everywhere else to avoid. So we will see.

But the good news is that the bulbs are starting to sneak their heads through the straw mulch. Should see a few pops of color coming soon!

Still 6 weeks to go before planting can start, but spring is definitely springing!
