Climbing roses on the garden gate
I have been meaning to do this since we installed the garden fence - it is part of the original vision - but I only now got around to it! I purchased two climbing roses to grow up each side of the garden gate. These shipped with no leaves, which apparently reduces the stress of transplant, so we will see! They will not be tied into the irrigation, so I will have to remember to manually water them. Luckily it’s not a super hot time, so hopefully their roots will settle in and they start regrowing their greenery before the frosts start hitting.
And yes, it does not go un-noticed around here that all of our projects involve Steve doing all or most of the work!
One on each side. Fingers crossed!
It’s so funny to see how areas next to the irrigation are getting enough water to be green. This little spot on the outside of the garden fence is an example, since the rose bed is irrigated along the fenceline.
Pretty!
