Bean time

I don’t can or freeze green beans any longer. I used to grow dozens of plants and put up at least two dozen jars, but it turned out we didn’t eat them often enough. I kind of love my Costco and Trader Joe’s frozen stir-fry veggie medleys . However, I do love beans fresh in summer stir-fry’s occasionally.

This year we have about 10 plants, and they are ready to pick! We enjoyed some of them a few days ago, and I will pick these yellow, purple, and french filet green beans on Tuesday for a nice camping meal in the North Cascades this week.
