Apple trees in bloom

After the cherry trees bloom, the apples are not far behind. Our big old apple trees bloom light pink. We can hear the bees buzzing away in the branches. They are full-size trees (not like the kind they plant at our neighborhood orchards, which are designed for picking), so we don’t attempt to treat them in any way. We usually get plenty of apples for making cider or applesauce, and the goats (and the compost) get their fill from what falls to the ground.

I did a Spring version of our property rendering to celebrate the apple tree blossoms.
