Another crafty workshop
This month is full of hands on workshops for Montana and I. This morning we ventured downtown to the Spokane Art School for a class on flower pounding and embroidery. Yes, flower pounding is a thing! It involves carefully selecting and placing flowers and stems on a treated piece of white cotton, covering them with parchment paper, and then pulverizing them with a hammer. It actually works pretty well and was fun to see how the different shapes and colors transfer. The second part is embellishing the creations with embroidered outlines and details. We didn’t get too far on that part (and Montana already knows a lot about that), but below are our workshop creations. Loud and fun new craft! I am sure Tana will test out all of our flowers to see which work.
