A few more lighthouses

We had a fun day of driving up the coast and “collecting” a few Oregon lighthouses.

The Cape Blanco Lighthouse was SO windy, but it offered cool and unique views from both sides.

Then we saw the Coquille River Lighthouse in Bandon, where we stopped to do some tourist shopping in their Old Town area by the harbor. Very classic lighthouse. While tempted, we did not buy any bait or seafood on the waterfront.

And we decided to camp for the night at the Umpqua Lighthouse State Park. Peaceful and perfect.

Since the rain was starting back up (and added some thunder and lightning) I decided to make some butternut squash, carrot, and potato soup to warm us up. Why yes, I did happen to carry fresh potatoes and celery with us, thank you.

Meanwhile at home apparently we missed this awesome rainbow, in celebration of Montana and Elijah’s 5th anniversary!
