Steve, born in ‘63, turns 63

Happy birthday to Steve! We had a fun time taking him to The Jedi Alliance, a local place that had over 150 different pinball and video games. Pay a flat rate to get in, and everything is on unlimited Free Play. Classic games from the early 60’s to today. So much fun! Upstairs they had a massive toy and movie prop museum. What a strange hidden gem. We all had a blast.

Then had an ENORMOUS meal at the best Chinese restaurant in town. At least 3 days’ worth of food for all.

Another treat for the holiday was Montana stepping up to make Steve’s specially requested cake: a pineapple upside down cake! Talk about a retro pull. Straight out of the original Betty Crocker cookbook.

It turns out she is an upside down cake prodigy! She made both a full round and also individual mini Bundt style cakes, and they were all phenomenal. Happy 63!

And then the next day I happened to come upon this: I don’t really use Facebook, but I do have an account I use to check occasionally on neighborhood happenings. Typically it’s reports of loose dogs (or cows) or moose sightings.

Big John’s birthday was the day before Steve’s. (OKC Keig family birthdays were VERY clustered.) This year would have been John’s 90th birthday! I noticed Steve had posted this tear-jerker.
