More early fall color
Because I am spending so much time tearing out spent plants and prepping beds, and because the abundant morning glories and cosmos have pretty much hit the end of their roads, and because the trees haven’t yet really started turning - I really appreciate the little pops of color we still have in the garden even more. So that means more photos!
The purple plant on the left is a red basil, very pretty, but we didn’t really cut/use any.
We have a whole role of different calendulas.
These are either dark orange cosmos or mexican sunflowers. I love them amongst the other sunflowers.
Red amaranth next to a lone white borage.
Our dwarf cherry tree died after the first year, but we left it in the garden because it grew some nice sprout branches. Of course, they won’t create any fruit, so we might end up having to pull the whole thing anyway. That gorgeous red amaranth in the backround.
