Montana’s dream realized

Since getting the goats, Montana has dreamed of being able to completely process wool from goat to yarn. She has been slowly filling in all of the blanks and has finally accomplished her goal.

What you see below is Sammy Yarn! It is the end result of many steps: shearing; picking the raw wool clean; carding it into flat matted strips; spinning it into yarn. Several different washes along the way. Dying it and knitting it into something will follow.

It is SOOOOO soft and is quite an impressive accomplishment!
