Merritt island bird watching

Thanks to an awesome ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ recommendation from Theresa and a lucky missed turn by Steve as we were heading to the Kennedy Space Center, we ended up in the Black Point Wildlife Drive in the Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge this morning. This one-way, unpaved trek around the bird sanctuary lived up to the hype! So many cool birds and bird song, and a nice leisurely hour-ish-long drive where you can stop anytime you want to enjoy a scene. My photos do not do it justice!

Oh, and there were alligators, too! Quite an important sighting for out-of-staters. Florida is so weird
