It’s started!

We thought they were going to do prep work all this week, but after quite the massive caulking job (very thorough!) I guess they decided to start painting the back of the house! Up went the window film, and then a few hours later, they had already made great headway. All of the doors will be painted a dark grayish color - goodbye orangey-brown! I think they are doing that tomorrow.

We have a terrific paint crew, led by Eric the 30-year veteran Calming Energy Paint Supervisor. We are not sure how each day will unfold, but we will be gone Thursday and Friday, so it is quite possible most if the painting will be done. Then they have to move to adding the cedar on the pillars and building the new front stair set and staining all of the wood. I suppose most or all of that will fall to next week.

Quite an adventure already. And we all LOVE the color and monochrome paint job - so much better than our icky browns!
