Baskets, baskets, everywhere!

It makes such a difference when Steve gets his magic liquid-feeding timer-based (every 6 hours) irrigation system connected and running and we can hang up all of the flower baskets.

This year will be a little tricky because the house painting will take place sometime in July. For that project we have to take down all of the irrigation and hanging hardware and temporarily relocate the baskets, tubing, and sprayers to the ground on the side of the house. Then we have to hang it all up again (probably first spray painting it to match the house). At that time Steve will also have to extend the irrigation up to the 2nd floor loft porch, because I will be adding two of the baskets up there to reinforce front door cohesion.

But for the next month or so we will just enjoy them. I’ll have to keep an eye on the weather, because if we are going to have any late freezes or near-freezes (not unheard of around here) I will need to move them to the garage for the night.

Montana spray painted her hanging baskets and planted each one with different annuals and herbs and set up a really fun hanging garden in the back.
